i was gna report a fraud case shortly after i got my associate's degree, i was threatened by a city council person-dirty cop. he put a fake warrant out on me, and i was terrorized. he called my phone and threatened me if i would report the fraud. i have been thru hell, and suffered sooo much injustice with ABSOLUTELY NO HELP...AND IT HAS COSTED ME SO MUCH LIFE. I am now convicted of felony obsstruction of justice...and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement...a year ago the police followed me. i was riding with a friend...they asked him what he was doing when i went in a residence to check on a depressed friend...he said they were long gone. no...they went down the street...and when we got on the street it was like a horror movie...they ulled us over. they came to my side of the car and demanded i open my door, when i wasnt even driving. i grabbed hold of the steering wheel because of the fear of the police because the cop was angry i reported the fraud and didnt KISS HIS ASS. they said my friend didnt use his signal. the cop ripped my arms from my shoulders, stage 4 rotor cuff surgery, tazed me til my jeans had a hole burned in them, slammed my head on concrete. and I AM THE CRIMINAL. I gave up trying to find help. Nobody will help. I just want to know if I can still get fafsa with these convictions, because i will fight back by educating myself further. There is NO JUSTICE IN KOKOM INDIANA...AND I DO BELIEVE THEY WILL KILL ME.

You can write the judge and request, but in most cases, you will have to hire an attorney. Check the minutes from your sentencing to see if the judge said your felony could be modified after your time was served, if not you will have to contact that court, or the prosecutor's office to find out. NO...until the felony is modifierd to a misdemeanor...you are still considered a 'DANGEROUS FELON" and it would cause you so much legal terrain if you get busted with a pistol. I am kind of glad I cannot, because my injustice caused by DIRTY CORRUPT SICK COPS, I am afraid I would take justice in my own hands...and I love my family, so I don't want to to anything to cause anything to separate me from them.

i am sorry...i am wrong when i say you will be considered dangerous felon...i reread...but still...you must have the felony modified to misdemeanor before considering having a pistol in your possession. Take tikwondo...lol

My son has two felonies, one is for vandal and one is for fleeing a police officer. He cannot find a job or when he does keep one due to the felonies. He also does not drive. He feels he has nothing to live for and I don't know what he can do. Can anyone help him?

my family never cared about me. life was so hard. police are cruel...and most have lived sheltered lives, and just abuse their authority. as in my case...tell your son to apply for college...and he will feel better, and have a better chance at employment, plus if he qualifies for grants (fafsa), the leftover money will undoubtedly put a smile on his face. but in small towns...police are lazy and go for easy targets...prior arrests...because they are too lazy to do any real work on REAL CRIME...SUCH IN THE INJUSTICE I HAVE BEEN SERVED. Good luck young man...get to school!
