Possession of explosives
About 6 years a ago I happened to be trespassing in a private neighborhood, the residents called the cops and they went to my house when I wasn't there. My mom let them in voluntarily they searched my room which wasn't actually my room because I had moved out and was living in my own apartment but was the room I grew up in most of my life and found illegal fireworks.
In california where I live just about all fireworks are considered illegal. The ones I had were purchased legally in utah. I was taken to jail and charged with 12305 posession of explosives. The law defined no difference between my fireworks and someone who had a pound of c-4. I was given 2 years 8 months in prison. I ended up serving 2 years for having illegal fireworks.
